About Us
Here at the Boathouse, there is a strong emphasis on using the excellent food available right on our doorstep. We believe in using the best Scottish ingredients, and sourcing them as close to home as we can! We believe in free range, we believe in home grown, and most importantly we believe in sustainable produce.
Our family run business maintains an oyster bay which provides us with a constant supply of Ulva Soriby Bay oysters, grown and harvested on the island.
The family owned fishing boat lands us shellfish including prawns, brown crab, lobsters and squat lobsters. All this is sustainably caught in the lochs and on the shores surrounding Ulva.
Our fish is sourced from another family boat, fishing out of Tobermory. The 'Mary Manson' provides us with a different selection of fish ranging from dover sole to monkfish.
We bake our own granary bread every morning, along with a large range of delicious cakes and biscuits.
